Do you know that feeling when we have those summer glow up goals but because life is so busy we forget all about them! Then summer comes around and we once again don’t feel comfortable in our cute bikinis. For summer 2024 let’s change that. With summer only four months away, now is the perfect time to prepare ourselves for our best summer yet!

In this post I will show you some tips on how you can achieve your 2024 summer glow up and feel the most confident ever in your body. I also included a daily schedule you can follow to make things a little easier.

6 habits to start doing for your summer glow up.

NOURISH YOUR BODY

Now is the time to start building some healthier habits! Start by nourishing your body from the inside out. Focus on eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean protein and whole foods / grains. Start seeing food as fuel. The more nourishing healthy foods you eat, the better and more energized you will feel. Hydrate your skin by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Healthy nutrition and hydration can help improve your skin, giving you that ultimate radiant summer glow! <3

PRIORITIZE SKIN & BODY CARE

Personally in summer I just want to wear a bikini, crop tops and cute dresses. To make sure I feel comfortable all summer I love to focus on my skin and body care. Establishing a regular skin & body care routine tailored to your own skin type can work wonders on your skin. Personally my skin is quite dry and sensitive, so especially in the months before summer I focus on hydrating, sensitive skin care products. I recommend investing in high quality skincare products that are perfect for your own skin concerns, whether it’s acne, dryness or aging etc. Don’t forget to start wearing sunscreen daily to protect your skin and make sure it stays glowy and bright. Consistency is key, so if you start now you are sure to see results by summer.

LOVE YOUR BODY!

Remember that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Instead of working for a body type that you think you should have, focus on your own body and how to make it look it’s best! Focus on feeling confident and comfortable in your own skin. Celebrate what makes you unique. Whether you are thin, thick, tall, short, curvy.. have scars, stretch marks, cellulite or whatever it is. It’s all part of you and what makes you beautiful. Your summer glow comes from within, together with taking good care of your outside with skin + body care and nourishing your body with healthy foods.

FIND YOUR SUMMER AESTHETIC

Dream big and start working on your summer visionboard. Think of your perfect summer and what that would look like for you. What do you want to wear? Start organizing your closet and focus on buying / thrifting clothes that make you feel confident and comfortable. Whether you like flowy sundresses, shorts, mini skirts.. choose outfits that will reflect your personal style and make you feel confident. Besides your clothes, also look at your hair, nails, make up, accesories and ofcourse bikinis!

MOVE YOUR BODY DAILY

Starting today, start moving your body daily. Personally I walk daily for about 45 minutes – an hour. This will not only make your body look and feel great but will also help with your mental health. Especially if you take your walks outside in the morning sun (don’t forget sunscreen!). You can also start incorporating regular exercise into your routine. I love doing yoga in the morning even if it is just for 10 minutes. It’s also a good idea to start working towards your personal fitness goals now, whether that’s running a marathon, losing weight, gaining muscle and anything else. Make working out a regular part of your schedule and you will feel and look great 4 months from now.

BUILD CONFIDENCE

Confidence is the most important quality anyone can have for a summer glow up. Stand tall, speak with confidence, and embrace all your unique qualities that make you, YOU. Treat yourself with kindness but also be strong and keep the promises you make with yourself. So if you want to glow up, really work consistently towards your glow up. If you don’t keep your promises to yourself, this will negatively impact your confidence and make you feel worse.

Get out of your comfort zone so you can grow. Say yes to new experiences, meet new people and embrace every opportunity for personal growth. Each time you push yourself beyond your comfort zone, you’ll expand your confidence and capabilities!
