The 30 Day Blossom Challenge
As we continue our journey towards achieving our goals, it’s crucial to acknowledge that obstacles are an inevitable part of the process. Today, on Day 8, we will be identifying these obstacles and developing strategies to overcome them. With our research from the previous days, we’re better equipped to anticipate challenges and navigate our way to success.
Step 1. REVIEW YOUR FINDINGS. Begin by revisiting the research you conducted on Day 5/6. Recall the insights into your goals, preferences, and the steps required to achieve them.
Step 2. IDENTIFY POTENTIAL OBSTACLES. Think about any potential obstacles that might hinder your progress. These could include personal obstacles that you may struggle with like lack of resources or unexpected life events or any common obstacles that others often face in similar journeys like self-doubt, financial limitations or having a busy schedule. To help you find out what obstacles you might face here are some questions you can ask and answer for yourself to gain some clarity.
Time Obstacles: “How does my current daily routine / schedule impact my ability to consistently work towards my goals?”
Resources Obstacles: “Are there any resources, such as financial or equipment, that might make it harder for me to make progress?”
Self Doubt and Motivation: “What challenges do I face within myself when it comes to motivation or self doubt?” “What limiting beliefs do I have about reaching my goals?”
External influences: “How can external factors like the weather, work / school commitments or family responsibilities affect my plants?”
Step 3. DEVELOP STRATEGIES. Now that you have answered these questions you will have some big insights on the struggles and obstacles you might face during your journey. It’s important to recognize that challenges are a very normal part of any worthwhile pursuit. Thinking about them now will help prepare you by developing helpful strategies and give you the confidence to keep going.
Here are some strategies you can follow to help keep you motivated, inspired and happy on your journey.
- Strategy: Explore cheaper alternatives for fitness activities, such as at-home workouts, outside workouts in nature or free YouTube videos (there are so many good ones!).
- Strategy: Set small, achievable milestones to boost confidence gradually for instance, if your overall fitness goal is to run a marathon, set an initial goal of jogging for a certain distance without stopping. And make sure to celebrate every step forward, no matter how small! Recognizing your progress will not only boost your confidence but also your motivation.
Revisit Your Why:
- Reminder: Regularly revisit the reasons behind your goals. Remind yourself why you started this journey in the first place and what you’re hoping to achieve. This motivation serves as a powerful tool that will help you move forward. You can do this easily by taking a look at your vision boards or making new ones!
Adapt and Adjust:
- Flexibility: Be open to adapting your plan. Life is dynamic, and the ability to adjust to changing circumstances is the key to long-term success. If your plan doesn’t unfold as you expected, don’t consider it a roadblock. Instead, see it as a detour. Adjust your route without abandoning the journey and keep going!
Navigating obstacles requires a combination of resilience, adaptability, and a positive mindset. By acknowledging potential challenges, gaining clarity on your journey, and developing strategies to stay motivated, you empower yourself to overcome any hard times that may arise.
